This Thanksgiving, our youth challenge you to a Gratitude Challenge. For seven days find one person, thing or experience of gratitude and document it. Post that image or journal entry on social media including #WPC7daychallenge or send it to Lynn George to share on Westminster’s social media. At the end of the 7th day, contact three friends to challenge them to try it. Click here to learn more with 2.5 minute video from Chris Clark.

Be a Candle Lighter in Worship this Advent!

We are looking for Advent Candle Lighters during worship in Advent and Christmas Eve. You can do this as an individual, family or with a friend – the possibilities are plentiful! You will be provided with the instructions ahead of time as well as any readings if there are any, though it may simply be lighting the candle for that particular Sunday. Click here to signup. Questions? Contact Pastor Jon.

Return Gifts for the Westminster’s Giving Tree

The need for gift donations is great this year and we need your help to share God’s love at Christmas! Thank you for helping make this holiday season special for those in need. The gifts for each organization – Pocopson Nursing Home, Family Promise, and Migrant Ministries are full. Please drop off your gifts in the Narthex on Sunday, November 26 or Sunday, December 3. We will deliver the gifts on Wednesday, December 6. We still need 20 people to help moms provide gifts for the Domestic Violence Center. Signup below. Contact Angela Emrich or Debbie Zakarian if you need to make other arrangements for drop off or assistance with gift delivery.

New Journey Series! Heaven & Earth: Advent and the Incarnation

10:45 am December 3, 10, 17 & January 7 • Hybrid (Spellman Jr. & Zoom)

In his four-week DVD series, In Heaven and Earth: Advent and the Incarnation, Will Willimon introduces us to the God who brings heaven to earth and changes everything. God’s choice of incarnation allows us to reflect on the mystery that Christ is the full revelation of God instead of someone who talks about God or speaks for or acts as God. Through this study, led by Pastor Jennie, Pastor Leah and Ernie Kimmel, we will explore the paradox of Jesus as both fully human and fully divine. In Advent, we celebrate and anticipate the earth-shaking, life-transforming good news that God is coming to us. Watch out. Get ready. God is on the way. Click here to attend via Zoom. Questions? Contact Jennie Clark.

Recycle your Old or Broken Christmas Lights

As you start to decorate your home for the Christmas season and find old or broken lights, drop them off in a bin located in Spellman Hall or Café 10 West between December 3 and January 7. We will deliver the lights to a recycling location so they don’t end up in a landfill. The lights will be broken down to recover their raw commodities, which can be used to create construction materials, electronics, and other items. Thank you so much for your participation!

Support Cheyney Students during Finals Week

Calling all bakers and prayer warriors! We need your help to support the students at Cheyney University during their finals week. Westminster would like to encourage them at the end of the semester with baked goods and prayers. We ask volunteers to bake three or more dozen cookies or brownies and package them in zip lock bags. Three cookies per bag or one large brownie per bag. Drop them off in Spellman Hall on Sunday, December 3. If you are interested in participating, contact Nancy Tuttle
